Spatial information is a potent factor for consideration in most businesses. It is at the core of every efficient business decisions. Effectiveness of various decisions concerning suitable location of new businesses, expansion of existing businesses, sighting of new business branches and business relocations depends largely on the quality and quantity of spatial information available to the decision makers. Spatial information is an aggregate of physical, political, and socio-economic data in a particular area or region as related to the proposed or existing business needs. This paper aims at examining the impact of spatial information on efficient decision making for sustainable business development in Nigeria, using filling station businesses in Ile Ife, Nigeria as a case study.
